The History
The hotel “La Réserve” was built in 1970 by Pierre Rousselot, a man from the south of France. Over the years, the hotel grew a reputation for its quality service and delicious French kitchen. Guests came back year after year to spent their vacations in its warm and welcoming atmosphere.
In 1985 Peter Pollinger bought the hotel from his uncle, Pierre Rousselot. To meet new standards, the hotel compound underwent a full renovation before reopening. The hotel constructed a new restaurant complex with attached an open terrace. Today, the hotel “La Réserve” is considered an even more superb vacation spot in the mountains. After all, the name Pollinger stands for a long tradition of famous mountain guides.
The Owner
Peter Pollinger was born in St. Niklaus. After finishing school, he went to Danzas, a renowned travel agency, where he gained the first experience in tourism during his apprentice ship. All matters of sports and travelling have always played an important role in his life. He enjoys playing soccer and, tennis, skiing, mountaineering, climbing and hiking. Different journeys have brought him all around the globe as far as North and South America, New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Far East, Africa and all over Europe. All this travelling along with the basis training he got at Danzas did have, without any doubt, a profound influence on his decision to settle down in the hotel business.
